Email Outage on Friday Oct 16

Information & Technology Services will be performing maintenance on one of the servers that hosts Faculty and Staff email accounts on Friday evening, Oct. 16, 2009. If your account is housed on the affected server, you will not be able to access your email during the outage.  If you send mail to someone whose account is on the affected server, they will not be able to login to retrieve their email until after the outage ends.  The email outage will begin at 6:00pm and will continue until approximately midnight.

Drupal Meetup

I am excited to announce the third UNC Charlotte Drupal Meetup. This is a great opportunity for Drupal developers and others interested in Drupal to meet "off-line" in an open forum to discuss their projects. Drupal related questions will be more than welcome too! There will also be a short presentation to start the meetup. I hope to see you there!

UCIT changes name

Now that Student LIfe Facilities is no longer, I decided it was time to change the name of UCIT (University Center Information Technology) to better reflect our scope.

Effective immediately, we are now known as Student Union, Activities and Recreation IT (SUAR IT). We are working on a new logo and shifting fomain names and such.
