I am excited to announce the third UNC Charlotte Drupal Meetup. This is a great opportunity for Drupal developers and others interested in Drupal to meet "off-line" in an open forum to discuss their projects. Drupal related questions will be more than welcome too! There will also be a short presentation to start the meetup. I hope to see you there!

Now that Student LIfe Facilities is no longer, I decided it was time to change the name of UCIT (University Center Information Technology) to better reflect our scope.

Effective immediately, we are now known as Student Union, Activities and Recreation IT (SUAR IT). We are working on a new logo and shifting fomain names and such.

Youssef LahbabiThe Cone University Center staff nominated Youssef Lahbabi for Student Employee of the Year. Youssef attended the luncheon on April 2nd, 2008. He didn't win, but I wanted to say that I am very proud of Youssef and appeciative of all he does for Student Union, Activities and Recreation. If you happen to see Youssef around, please congratulate him on the nomination.

Guy Kawasaki was in Charlotte last night talking about entreprenuarhip and small business. I think some of his statements and concepts can and should apply to how we think and operate in higher education. Checkout the short summary at this blog post http://socialcarolina.org/blog/
