Security/Application Updates to be installed Monday, August 18th

The following security and application updates will be installed on Monday, August 18th via the Novell Launcher:

Microsoft IE August 08 security updates - The install icon (IE6 Cumulative Patch 808 or XP IE7 Cumulative Patch 808) displays on NAL in the My-Campus > Updates-Installs > Window Security Updates Folder. These updates will install on login for campus Monday. It is recommended to install the updates today. The install time is a couple of minutes.

Novell File Storage Outage (August 8th, 2008)

There will be a brief Novell outage on Friday, Aug. 8th, from 6:00pm until 7:00pm.  During this time, clients will not have access to network drives (H:, J:, S:), NetStorage (remote access to network files), or student webpages.

UCIT Server Updates Evening of August 1st

Student Media Server/Workstation Outages July 29th - August 2nd

The Student Media Application Server will be unavailable from 5:00pm on Tuesday, July 29th through Saturday, August 2nd as UCIT staff upgrades the server's operating system.  There will also be limited workstation availability Wednesday (7/30) through Thursday (7/31) and no availability on Friday, August 1st.  Please contact a UCIT staff member if you have any questions regarding these outages...

UCIT Support Images Issue

Some of you experienced some issues submitting tickets on https://ucitsupport.uncc.edu today. The problem resulted from an update to our production web server which overwrote some of our custom web scripting engines.

Good news is all has been resolved and you can submit tickets.
