Windows SP3 Update (07-31-2008 for Student Affairs Users)

An automatics update for Windows users currently running Windows XP SP2 (service pack 2) will begin on July 31st, 2008. Workstations that meet the requirements for update will be updated to Windows XP SP3 (service pack 3).  

The install icon(Windows XP SP3 Update) displays on NAL in the My-Campus > Updates-Installs > Windows-Updates Folder. This update does not update IE6 to IE7. The install icon will appear a few days before the automatic update, allowing users to choose the time they wish to run update.

Note: The install takes approximately 40 minutes depending on the speed of the internet and the machine.  The machine will automatically reboot when the install completes.
