- IP security camera systems. Demo of the Cisco system at Cisco offices in Charlotte.
- Walk thru with AV vendor to discuss large sound/lighting rigging systems.
- Paperwork for new IT position for SUAR IT.
- Planning and development for the April 1st launch of Student Org registrations.
- Marketing/Web planning with Lyndsay Richter.
- Worked with student staff to convert AutoCAD diagrams for the Student Union to Room Viewer for space planning.
- Backed up Mike Teague while he was away on vacation for a week.
- Discussions/planning around the approaching Novell replacement project. Involves AD, BigFix and new file servers.
- Planning/Inventory work for new and replacement computer purchases for Spring 2009. Purchases will cover Student Union, Cone Center and SAC needs.
Mike Teague - Student Association Computer Systems Administrator
- Began testing Big Fix (Campus' newest computer workstation management system) on Student Association Lab workstations. Use of Big Fix will eliminate the need to perform semesterly reimaging due to its ability to maintain updates and patches on workstations in an automated fashion. SUAR-IT staff are also beginning testing on Staff workstations.
- Performed training sessions with SUAR IT student assistants providing training on the imaging process for staff workstations, and rebuilding and configuring.
- Reimaged student associations lab workstations with new patches and updates along with the new Big Fix client.
- Installed and configured new Mac workstation for Lyndsay Richter, new SUAR Marketing staff
