SUAR IT Staff will be converting one of our Windows servers to a virtual machine beginning 12-16-2008 at 6:30PM. The new server will become operational before 5PM on 12-17-2008. We cannot nail down an exact time, but we will let you know as soon as service has been restored.

Microsoft December 2008 Security Patches

The following Microsoft December 08 Security Patches install icons should display on NAL in the My-Campus > Updates-Installs > Window Security Updates folder if your machine meets the system requirements. These updates will install during login starting Friday, December 12th for campus. Each update takes a couple of minutes and the machine should be restarted when the updates complete.

SUAR-IT staff will be performing security updates on all SUAR-IT-managed servers on Wednesday, December 3rd between 9 and 11pm. Please refer to the list below for details on affected services.  We will be working individually with RecTrac staff to determine an alternative maintenance period for the RecTrac server.  During these maintenance periods there may be intermittent outages of all servers and their hosted services. The Microsoft November 08 Security Updates for Office(MS08-069 and Junk Email Filter Update)will be installed via the NAL beginning Monday, November 17th. UCIT Staff will be performing security updates on all UCIT-managed servers on Wednesday, November 5th between 9 and 11pm.  Please refer to the list below for details on affected services.  Additionally, staff will be performing additional UPS testing on Thursday, November 6th between 6:30 and 7:30am.  During these maintenance periods there may be intermittent outages of all servers and their hosted services.  Feel free to contact a UCIT staff member should you have any questions or concerns.
